Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 21, 2026Last Updated: March 21, 2026

Our Core Privacy Promise

  • ✅ Your text content never leaves your browser.
  • ✅ We do not store, log, or read what you type into our tools.
  • ✅ All text processing happens locally on your device.
  • ✅ No account or signup is required to use our tools.

This policy explains what limited data we do collect, such as analytics, cookies, and contact form details, and how we use that information.

This Privacy Policy applies to Line Counter, operated independently. Our contact email is contact@aigotowork.work. Use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Service.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Line Counter ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website at linecounter.org (the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Line Counter is a collection of free, browser-based text tools. The most important thing to understand about our privacy practices is this:

Any text you enter into our tools is processed entirely within your browser. It is never transmitted to our servers, never stored in any database, and never seen by us or any third party.

While we do not collect your text content, we do collect some limited technical information to operate and improve the Service, as described in this policy.

By using Line Counter, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information: automatically collected technical data, and information you voluntarily provide.

2.1 Automatically Collected Information

📍 Log Data

Standard web server logs may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for security monitoring and diagnosing technical issues. Log data is retained for up to 30 days.

📊 Analytics Data

We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time spent on pages, features used, and general geographic location at the country or region level only. We do not collect precise location. See Section 7 for details on third-party analytics providers.

🍪 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in Section 5.

📱 Device Information

We may collect general information about the device you use to access the Service, such as screen resolution, browser language preference, and whether you are on a mobile or desktop device. This helps us optimize the user experience.

2.2 Information You Voluntarily Provide

📧 Contact Form Submissions

If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not used for marketing purposes.

We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months, after which they are permanently deleted from our active support workflow.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

What We Do Not Collect

We want to be completely clear about what we do not collect.

❌ Your Text Content

Any text you paste, type, or upload into our tools is processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. This content is never sent to our servers. We have no technical ability to see, store, or access what you enter into our tools.

❌ Account or Registration Data

We do not require you to create an account, register, or log in to use any of our tools. We do not collect usernames, passwords, or profile information.

❌ Payment Information

Our tools are free. We do not collect credit card numbers, billing addresses, or financial information.

❌ Precise Location Data

We do not collect GPS coordinates or precise physical location. Analytics may show us your general country or region, but never your exact location.

❌ Sensitive Personal Information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as health data, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or biometric data.

❌ Personal Information from Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. See Section 10 for the Children's Privacy policy.

🔧 How Browser-Side Processing Works

When you use a Line Counter tool, the tool code runs entirely within your web browser on your own device. Your text is processed in your browser memory and the result is displayed back to you without any network request containing your content.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser Developer Tools, go to the Network tab, and watch what happens when you use our tools. You will see no requests containing your text content.
